Norilsk Nickel to invest 2 bln rbl in upgrade of Kola MMC in 2017
MURMANSK, Mar 30 (PRIME) -- Russian metals giant Norilsk Nickel plans to spend about 2 billion rubles to buy new equipment and machines for its mining and metallurgical company Kola MMC in 2017, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
Norilsk Nickel will buy 1,480 units of equipment and re-equip all major facilities of Kola MMC.
“Kola MMC has already received new equipment worth more than 170 million rubles in January–February 2017. The re-equipment not only allows the company to increase production capacity, but also improve safety of the production process,” the company said.
